Writes utility programs to access and print information for internal operations. 4. Tests programs to assure that logic and syntax are correct, and that program results are accurate. Uses regression testing to make sure new functionality does not interfere with present behavior and reports on the results of these tests. 6. Prepares demonstration software and explains special instructions to marketing ans sales personnel. 7. Maintains records necessary to review and update progress of assigned projects. 8. Needs to stay informed with most current programming practices especially those regarding data security and application integrity. Shares the knowledge the rest of the development team. 9. May be responsible for learning and maintaining third-party packaged software and communicating with the customer service department or help desk of the third-party software vendor.
